How it works

One person looks after you from your first message to your last check-up. Here's what happens and when.

Six steps

Six steps, with rough timings

Timings are typical. Your case manager gives you a dated plan once you've chosen a hospital.

  1. 01

    Day 0

    Tell us what you need

Fill in a short form. A case manager gets in touch within one working day and sends you a private link for any reports or scans.

  2. 02

    Within a few days

    Compare written quotes

With your permission, we ask accredited hospitals for a doctor's opinion and a fixed price. You compare them side by side and decide. No pressure.

  3. 03

    1–2 weeks before

    Visa, flights and stay

The hospital sends your visa letter. We help with the visa, book a flexible flight and find a comfortable place to stay near the hospital.

  4. 04

    Arrival day

    Arrive in Delhi

We meet you at the airport with a car and a local SIM, and handle the registration paperwork.

  5. 05

    In hospital

    Treatment

Your case manager comes to appointments with you, keeps your family updated and checks your bill matches the quote.

  6. 06

    After discharge

    Recovery and home

We arrange physio and medicines while you recover, collect your fit-to-fly letter and set up video check-ups once you're home.

Example

A knee replacement, day by day

Steps 4 to 6 for one of the most common trips. Every treatment guide has its own version.

  1. Arrive, tests, meet your surgeonDays 1–2

We meet you at the airport. X-rays, blood tests and a heart check, then a talk with the surgeon and anaesthetist.

  2. SurgeryDay 3

Usually under a spinal anaesthetic. Most people stand with help later that day or the next.

  3. In hospitalDays 4–7

Physio every day: walking with a frame, then stairs. The team watches the wound and your pain.

  4. Recover where you're stayingDays 8–18

A serviced apartment with a lift, near the hospital. Physio visits, stitches out, swelling settles.

  5. Final check and fly homeDays 19–21

A last X-ray and review, your fit-to-fly letter and records, and wheelchair help at the airport.

Questions

Common questions

If yours isn't here, message us and a case manager will reply.

Is the care as good as at home?

The hospitals we work with are accredited by JCI (which also accredits many US hospitals) or NABH, India's national standard. They do these operations every day, use modern equipment, and doctors and nurses speak English.

Why is it so much cheaper?

Staff, living and legal costs are much lower in India, and hospitals sell treatment as a fixed package. Even with flights and a month's stay, the total is usually a fraction of the US price.

How do you make money?

You pay us a fixed fee, from $500, agreed before you pay anything. You pay the hospital directly for your treatment. We don't take money from doctors or add anything to the hospital's bill.

What visa do I need?

An e-Medical visa, which you apply for online. It usually takes 2–3 days, and up to two people can come with you. The hospital provides the letter you need, and we help with the rest.

What if something goes wrong?

The hospital is responsible for your medical care and has intensive care on site. We stay with you, keep your family informed, and sort out any extra stay, visa extension or travel changes.

How long will I be in India?

About a week for dental work, three weeks for a knee or hip, and three to four weeks for heart surgery. Your plan will give you exact dates.

Will my insurance pay?

Most US plans don't cover planned treatment abroad, and normal travel insurance doesn't either. We recommend medical travel insurance, usually $150–$400, which covers complications and changes.
